Every company in the app is one of two types. The type changes defaults, not what you can do.
Trade
A trade company is a print company or agency that hires you to install. They send you install requests (often by email you forward), expect their own approval form and photo rules, and pay on terms such as NET 30.
- Their requirements (photo minimums, signed form, closeout and invoice deadlines) come from their company page, or from their own account if they're on the app.
- If they have an account on the app, they can send jobs straight to you, award or decline your quotes, and see your closeout and issued invoices for their jobs.
- Jobs from them are filed by the domain they email from.
Direct
A direct client is your own customer: you quote, install and bill them yourself.
- Defaults come from Settings → Direct clients: your own approval form, photo rules, terms and deposits.
- You can ask for a deposit before scheduling.
- A direct client can have its own settings on its company page when it needs something different.

Adding a company
- Go to Companies → Add company.
- Pick Trade or Direct, and enter the name, contact name, email and phone, billing address and terms.
- For trade companies, add their email domain so forwarded jobs file under them.
Companies you forward from are created automatically, as trade, the first time a job arrives from their domain. You can change the type later.
Archiving
Archive a company you no longer work with. Its jobs stay. If a forward arrives from its domain later, it's restored and the job says so.
