Notifications

The app can send push notifications to your phone or computer. You choose which kinds you get, per person.

Turn them on

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications (also in the More and account menus).
  2. Turn on notifications for this device and allow them when the browser asks.
  3. Use Send a test to check it works.

On iPhone, install the app to the home screen first; notifications only work from the installed app.

What you can be notified about

Owner and office:

  • A forwarded job arrived (new job in review)
  • A customer signed from a link
  • A print company or installer wants to connect (owner only)
  • Closeouts nearly due or overdue
  • Invoices past their due date

Everyone, including crew:

  • You were added to or taken off a job
  • A job you're on moved or was canceled
  • Tomorrow's jobs

A crew member who is the lead on a job also gets its closeout deadlines and signed forms.

Turn any of them off under What to notify me about. Crew only see the kinds that apply to them, and no notification ever includes a price.

The evening digest

Each evening, when there's work the next day, you get one notification with tomorrow's jobs (your own if you're crew, the business's if you're owner or office), plus one "needs attention" digest for closeouts and overdue invoices. At most one of each per day.

Badge

On an installed app, the icon badge shows the number of today's jobs.

Email

Some messages also come by email: invites, connection requests, password resets, and a note if a forwarded email couldn't be read. Those can't be turned off, but they're only sent when something needs you.
